Dora and the Pheelguds from the Future
Author(s):
Jody Wyatt Price
As if under-confident Dora didn't have enough problems. Not only did she get another "F" in math, but her Uncle Doyle won't let her help look for a crashed UFO. He says it's not a job for girls. Dora's sure she could handle the aliens... well, she'd at least like to try. Meanwhile, Zooky and Bleezelthip are having their own problems. The crash damaged their time machine. Now Zooky must find help, unaware that Uncle Doyle and company are hot on the aliens' trail. When Dora and Bleezelthip accidentally meet, Dora finds they have a lot in common. She is able to fix the time machine, but in the rush to save Zooky, she mistakenly hits the controls, hurtling herself through time. And what a trip it is! Dora meets the painter Grandma Moses and scientist Diane Fossey. She even travels to her own future! When she finally lands back in the present, Dora has learned a valuable lesson -- all people can do great things. A play that teaches respect for others and believing in yourself.
